Improved maternity and newborn nursery benefits

A Maternity Benefit and a Newborn Nursery Benefit have been added to support new parents.

• The Maternity Benefit provides a $500 co-pay for the mother’s facility charges associated with the baby’s delivery and 100% coverage for the Physician Global Charge.
• If you have a company hospital in your area that provides maternity services, you will receive the Maternity Benefit if you use a company hospital and a company or Aetna physician.
• If you don’t have a company hospital in your area that provides maternity services, you will receive the Maternity Benefit if you use an Aetna hospital and physician.
• The Maternity Benefit does not include outpatient charges such as diagnostic testing or office visits associated with a diagnosis (for example, gestational diabetes). These costs may be covered under standard benefits with a separate co-pay or deductible and co-insurance.
• The Newborn Nursery Benefit provides 100% coverage for services provided to an enrolled newborn during the initial hospitalization when services are provided at a company or Aetna hospital.
